Every letter is hiding behind a number. Learn part of the code from clue answers, then read the phrase.

The same number always means the same letter in a round. The mapping is shuffled for every new phrase.
Select any gap and type a possible letter. It is pencilled into every matching number, and you can change or clear it at any time.
Answer any clue with one valid example. Every letter in your accepted answer confirms its number across the alphabet and phrase, replacing conflicting pencil marks.
Select a known letter in the alphabet panel to highlight all its appearances.
You can attempt the whole phrase whenever you like. Wrong attempts cost progressively more points.
Hints can reveal or mark useful information, but revealing hints reduce the score and never finish the puzzle for you.
